Yesterday was a very dark day for UK Energy Policy.
The UK now no longer produces electricity from coal power, ending a 142 year relationship.
A blast furnace in Port Talbot (South Wales) has also closed its doors as of 16:00 on Monday 30th September 2024. A loss of 2,800 jobs is bad enough but, as Doomberg mentioned, it is what is happening to the area afterwards that is truly damning.

Do you ever get that feeling where you believe that you are the only one? Everyone else is looking at a challenge and you are the only one that is looking at it from a different angle.
Chickens
Today is also a very sad day because if you own chickens then you have to now register them with the UK Government. Of course, this is all in the name of protecting the chickens from bird flu!!!
This will give you an idea of what was proposed and is now a law.
The Government is encroaching on our private lives as much as possible and this really is turning into a very sad country.
Our energy policy is designed to make us much poorer and now the government wants to know who owns what poultry.
Maybe we really are turning into the United Soviet States of Britain (USSB)
