Well, it certainly has been an interesting week in terms of UK politics. We've seen the country pretty much decide to go from the right over to the left.
This brings its own challenges moving forward.
At some point later on this year or at the very start of 2025, we're going to see a labour majority in Westminster.
It will be very interesting to see what they decide to bring in with them, in terns of policies and ‘radical’ changes. The country is in a mess.
The country is increasing its defence budget.
The country is preparing to be at war. We are in a situation where we need fixing.
However, like our friends over the other side of the pond, it really is going to be no easy fix.
We continue to unnecessarily fund Ukraine, NATO and a bunch of other wars and aid that we don't need to fund. We are wasting currency on these lost causes. The biggest issue with all of this is that the currency printing will help to contribute to inflation.
Misallocation of funds is a big no no and we could be using all of this extra currency to work on fixing our own country and not poking our noses into other peoples business. Then again, we would not be British if we were not getting involved in other peoples business.
