W/C 7th Apr - More market madness in the week ahead?
Including an audio for paid subscribers only about why Trump & team are likely on the right path with their overall economic goals. Think big picture!
As usual, my apologies if any data and/or information has changed as a result of Asian/early European trading. It is quite wild out there at the moment!
Future Podcast Guests
Before we get into the nooks and crannies of the DXY, VIX, HYG and so forth, it is an honour to announce that the following podcast guests are booked in for the next couple of weeks:
Dr
Prins

Other written posts scheduled for this forthcoming week include fun facts about gold and silver and also a deeper dive into the Golden Era of Britain between 1816 - 1914.
The fun facts are light-hearted and are designed to be both informative and to put a smile on your face. Especially given the severity of the last couple of weeks.
The Golden Era of Britain is my first dip into blending a love of gold, silver and history. Its aim is to show how and why some form of sound money system is important!
(Feedback is the breakfast of champions, so please provide some once you have read it).
Let’s start this Weekly Open with Gold.
GOLD
Gold held up quite well last week. As discussed with recent podcast guest Craig Hemke, gold is normally quiet between April & 4th July. Therefore I would not be surprised to see some sideways movements or a small correction in the next couple of months - barring a true economic meltdown. If that happens then all bets are off.
Below are the 1 hour, daily and weekly charts.
SILVER
We can see that silver reacted much differently from gold on the 1 Hour chart and that the sell offs were exacerbated in comparison to gold on both the daily and weekly charts.
This helps to show gold is money and that silver acts as an industrial metal. If you have not yet listened to the podcast episode with Alasdair Macleod, then please do so.
Along with a special audio recording for paid subscribers, we look at the DXY, VIX, HYG and how they are not overly healthy at the moment either…….
