Summary
In general, a decent sell off across the board this week. There was a bit of a small ‘bounce’ today but the theme for the week seems to be general negative sentiment and also Jerome Powell supposed hawkishness after the Fed rate decision on Wednesday 18th December.
The Fed cut rates by 0.25%
The Bank of England did NOT cut rates so rates remain at 4.75%
Markets had a general down trend for the week (bar a slight uptick today)
Gold and Silver down (but don’t throw the baby out with the bath water)
Lets have a good look at the charts and some extra analysis.
